A retired professional hip-hop dancer and b-boy currently known for doing work as a director, cinematographer, music producer, sound engineer, and photographer. After a neck injury halted his career in the dance world, Phil Gates successfully pursued a career in audio. Being that he already had a background in visuals as an artist and photographer earlier on in his life – surrounded by and learning from some good friends who happened to be iconic visual artists in Chicago – he was able to make a smooth transition into a visual career as well. His experience with a number of varying skillsets ironed out Phil Gates current position at Highpower as the Senior Creative Director.
